As part of the nationwide “Green Space” initiative and at the initiative of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, a tree planting marathon was officially launched in the “Intellectual Garden” located on the campus of Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute. Representatives of Millat Umidi University also actively participated in the event and contributed to the marathon.

The opening ceremony of the marathon was attended by Deputy Governor of Jizzakh Region Akmal Savurboyev, Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation Qo‘ng‘irotboy Sharipov, senior officials of the ministry, regional departments, and heads of higher education institutions. Nearly 2,000 volunteer students took part in person, while simultaneously, teams from the central ministry office and all professional and higher educational institutions across 14 regions of the country joined the event online via studio broadcasts.
